you might be wondering why socks?

when I first started my Pilates journey, I bought a simple 3-pack of white socks on Amazon juuuuust in case I hated it. I didn’t want to commit to anything, including grippy socks I’d never wear again

but as my obsession with Pilates grew, so did my need for cute socks. matching my cutesy workout sets was a requirement. after $40 in shipping (plus a surprise $40 in duties), I realized there was a gap in the Canadian market and dare I mention the tariffs? 

affordable, stylish grippy socks for Canadian Pilates princesses, barre babes, and lagree lassies (yep, I’m making that a thing) was my calling

let’s circle back to why I even got into this 

Pilates gave me purpose. it saved me, both mentally and physically (hello, scoliosis gals! if you know, you know)

as an ex-nurse and account executive, I struggled to find passion in my professional life. then, in October 2024, I was unexpectedly fired from my sales role (I didn’t hit quota, so… yeah, it made sense but hurt nonetheless). but honestly? I wasn’t passionate about the product or about nursing

I felt lost. I felt like a failure. I didn’t know what to do 

there was two choices: force myself into another job I didn’t care about or take the leap into Pilates full-time. risks and all. big capricorn energy, I knooow. it’s become my whole personality: I teach it on the side when I’m not writing books, my other passion project 

soleil socks was born while I was vacationing in Florida, mulling over what my next life step should be with my partner, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share it with you. I married my two loves, Pilates and fashion, to create these fun designs 

to anyone scared of making big leaps or feeling uncertain about their path … I get it, it’s scary. I see you. I’ve been there. I’ve cried over it. But it does get better, I promise

these socks aren’t just a reflection of my fun and creative personality; they’re a symbol of resilience, growth, and overcoming tough times
